Full job description
We are looking for a hard working and motivated medical office assistant to join our outstanding team two days a week (Thursday/Friday), with the opportunity to for additional work as demand increases. This permanent part-time position is responsible for managing the flow and organization of the "back of house" of our family medicine clinic.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working with the public in a medical setting and be an expert at multitasking.

You will be extremely organized, are able to effectively multitask, have a pleasant phone manner with proficiency in spoken English and thrive on being a team player. You will have office and computer skills, learn quickly and can adapt in an ever-changing environment.

Your Duties Include:

Rooming patients upon arrival for their appointments
Prepping and sanitizing exam rooms before/after use
Managing out-going referrals
Assist reception with answering incoming calls
Responding to patient inquiries in person, over the telephone or via our patient portal messaging system
Work alongside reception to schedule appointments in the electronic medical records system (Med Access)
Supporting clinic Nurse, Physicians, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant and reception
Support entire staff in collaboratively completing all daily tasks (Recalls, Faxes, Referrals)
Performing other duties as assigned
We are looking for a commitment of at least one year, but ideally longer. Experience working in an office/administrative setting is preferred but not mandatory. We are happy to train the right person!
