The Role:

The Safety & Security Guard’s role is to assist the Resort in maintaining the security and safety of all facilities, 1,000+ guests and 300+ employees in three properties, three residence complexes, and one leased public building. The Safety & Security Guard role will include, property foot patrols, vehicle patrols, compiling daily shift reports, acting as a designated first aid provider, and Enforcing hotel and residence rules and regulations.

As a safety and security guard, you will also act as first responder on site to any & all emergencies, working in coordination with other departments and outside agencies to resolve threats to the safety of guests, staff, and visitors within Kananaskis Village. You will also be required to participate in fire training sessions and Health and safety meetings.

Job Duties:

Conducting routine foot patrols
Conducting routine vehicle
Providing first aid to guests and staff
Acting as a member of the fire response team
Participating in Health and Safety meetings
Conducting monthly audits for:
Frist aid kits
Eye wash stations
Fire extinguishers
Completing reports for:
Incident reports
First aid reports
Daily hotel and residence reports
Interacting on a daily basis with guests and staff
Employment Experience and Educational Requirements:

You will be considered for this role if you have all of the following experience:

Must have a valid Alberta Basic Security License
Must have a Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent.
Standard first aid level C + AED is required.
High school diploma is preferred or considered an asset.
Minimum 1 year or more of experience in a similar type of role is required.
Must be computer literate, preference given to individuals with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
The below soft skills will be an asset for the role;
Prior experience with conflict resolution would be an asset.
Be able to stay calm while under pressure or in high pressure situations.
Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
