What will you do in this job?:
The Sky Bistro is our flagship restaurant located at the top of Sulphur Mountain and at the pinnacle of our Food and Beverage experiences. Our focus is to build a strong service oriented team that will propel the Sky Bistro experience to great heights.

Responsibilities will include:

Striving to provide our guests with excellent service and memorable experiences in a professional and sincere manner
Ensuring that guest complaints are resolved to the satisfaction of the guest and that each interaction is treated as an opportunity to “WOW” the guest
Able to communicate effectively to all customers
Make employee and guest safety a cultural cornerstone to maintain our reputation as an industry leader and guest safety advocate
Courteous service to all guests
Answer questions when asked about the surroundings / menu and logistics of the Gondola
Know cocktail & drinks menu extensively and able to guide customers accordingly
Use basic wine knowledge to guide customers accordingly – based on food pairing, sweetness levels
Execute proper wine service as trained by your Sommelier
Know all food items on menu
Pass the food menu test at the end of the training program (85%)
Must pass the drink menu test at the end of training program (85%)
Ensuring that all areas are clean and orderly at all times
Ensuring stockrooms and storage are neat and organized at all times
Certify and confirm that SOP’s are followed and completed
Assist Sky Bistro team with special projects, promotions, functions and special events
Ensuring proper cash and float security during operating hours
Manage your own cash floats on a daily basis

What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Basic knowledge on the distilling process of each main spirit group (i.e. vodka, rum, gin, whiskeys etc.)
Thrives in a fast paced, high energy work environment.
Always properly groomed
At least 1+ year bar experience with a minimum of 6 months working in a busy restaurant environment
Customer service oriented
A positive attitude and be a ‘go getter’
Able to lift at least 15 pounds
Able to stand for long periods of time
Proserve qualifications
Flexible with work schedule (morning & evening shifts)

This fun, summer job runs from May or June to September or October, 2021.

Busy. You need to be prepared for a physical working environment with walking, stair climbing, bending, reaching, lifting (up to 50 pounds with assistance) required
