The Peaks Hotel & Suites has 71 modern design rooms, conveniently located in the Town of Banff - opening early February 2021. The Peaks Hotel & Suites is the sister property to the Bow View Lodge and the iconic Banff Park Lodge, a fully serviced Resort Hotel and Conference Centre.

We are currently seeking full-time, permanent Front Desk Agents, required to work day shifts, evening shifts, weekends and holidays with opportunities for overtime. The wage will be negotiated based on experience for 30-40 hours per week. The anticipated start date for these positions will be mid-January 2021.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):

Check-in and check-out guests
Verify billing, create room reservations and process special requests
Address special guest preferences recorded in guest history profiles
Handle cash payments and check cash float at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure at all times that amounts are correct
Answer all incoming phone calls in a professional manner
Provide information on hotel facilities and services, provide general information and services required for guests with special needs
Customer service-oriented to ensure guests satisfaction from arrival to departure
Clerical duties (i.e., faxing, filing, photocopying)
Reading text, document use, numeracy, writing, communication, working with others and problem-solving
Decision making, critical thinking, job task planning and organizing
Demonstrate teamwork by cooperating with and assisting colleagues as needed
Ideal Candidate·

Candidates must have a valid Canadian work permit
Reliable and can commit to at least 12 months of employment
1 to 2 years previous hotel front desk or reservation experience
Is capable to multi-task with keen attention to detail
Has a professional, yet friendly, personality and demeanor in person and over the telephone
Has excellent English comprehension and communication skills; a second language is an asset as we welcome many international guests
Has experience working with Microsoft Office and Excel
