As a Head Mixologist with Banff Lodging Co., you will lead a team of dedicated artisans, nurturing their talents and inspiring them to reach new heights of creativity. Together you will push the boundaries of cocktail craftsmanship, curating a menu that grabs the attention of every patron. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, and craft cocktails.

Responsibilities of a Head Mixologist with Banff Lodging Co.:
Develop and create innovative and unique cocktail recipes that align with the bar’s concept and target audience.
Design and update the bar’s cocktail menu, ensuring it reflects current trends and seasonality.
Train and supervise the bar staff on proper cocktail preparation techniques, including ingredient measurements, garnishing, and presentation.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of spirits, wines, and other beverage offerings, including their origins, production methods, and flavour profiles.
Collaborate with senior stakeholders to curate an exceptional selection of high-quality spirits, wines, and mixers.
Oversee inventory management, including monitoring stock levels, conducting regular stock takes, and placing orders for replenishment.
Skills and experience:
Excellent knowledge of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks.
Strong commitment to service.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a mixologist role.
Minimum 1 years’ experience at the management or supervisory level.
Experience in a new restaurant opening considered an asset.
Proficient computer skills including but not limited to: POS, inventory software, excel and word.
Food Safety, ProServe and W.H.M.I.S. Certifications.
Must be able to carry and lift items weighing 30lbs, must be able to stoop and bend.
Must be able to stand and move for extended periods of time to continuously perform essential job functions.
Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
