The Manager, Events is a self-motivated leader who will project manage and oversee production and logistical implementation of several Banff & Lake Louise Tourism (BLLT) events, such as Ice Magic and SnowDays-Skijoring.

The Manager, Events will be a proficient project manager, capable of producing events as well as empowering external partners to deliver events on BLLT’s behalf. They are responsible for working with a range of partners, contractors, and external Production Managers to ensure planned events are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest of standards in keeping with our overall destination brand. The perfect candidate is looking to make their next big career move and to join a growing team that wants to create memorable experiences in an awe-inspiring place.

The ideal applicant will have the following qualifications and experience:
2-5 years of diverse experience designing and producing an event portfolio.
Strong time-management and organizational skills.
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated experience managing outside contractors and suppliers.
Ability to develop and link strategies and tactics to organizational objectives.
A natural collaborator with experience working with a range of stakeholders.
Carries a team mentality with the ability to work independently.
Experience developing and managing budgets.
Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Live in the Bow Valley or are willing and able to relocate.
