Job Description

Talent & Culture Coordinator

We are looking for someone with a high level of energy and enthusiasm to assist with the overall operation of our main Talent & Culture office. The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, outstanding attention to detail and will thrive on providing exceptional service to our colleagues. This role is highly administrative; this person must enjoy working independently and taking initiative, along with being prepared for repetitive tasks.

What you will be doing:

Consistently offers professional, friendly and engaging service
Be the first point of contact for in-person colleague inquiries in the main Talent & Culture Office
Responsible for fulfilling requests including issuing new name tags, employee/ contractor ID’s and/or parking passes, email password assistance, providing departure information, writing letters of employment, reference checks, and verification of employment.
Accountable for administrative functions such as maintaining a confidential and organized filing system for all employee files and correspondence per corporate Talent & Culture Policies, as well as the creation of new hire files
Assisting with WCB submission when required
Year-end reconciliation of Code of Ethics sign-offs and Time off Tracking Forms
Distribution of T4 slips
Regular audits for lockers, system users, payroll etc.
Maintenance of Fleet Mentor system
Completing terminations within Talent Acquisition System and Close employee termination files
Distribution and response of e-mail, mail and faxes
Maintaining stationary supplies, forms and cash float
Ensures employee data is entered/recorded accurately via our HRM System, or internal systems, including the following:
Coordinates colleague relations efforts, such as leading the administration of colleague events including Annual Long Service -Awards, Holiday Parties, miscellaneous fundraising initiatives, etc.
Updating and maintaining various communication channels throughout the Heart of House
Participates on a Hotel Committee as the Talent & Culture representative
Complies & supports all Corporate Talent & Culture Policies & Procedures
All other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

Previous hospitality and/or administrative experience, minimum 1 year, is required
Computer literacy and excellent skills with all Microsoft Window applications required
Degree, Diploma or Certification in Human Resources Management or related program is an asset
Previous experience with Taleo Recruiting and/or HRIS/HR Systems is an asset
Must have strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a demanding, fast-paced office environment
Proven interpersonal skills, both written and oral and the ability to exhibit confidence in providing constructive feedback and managing sensitive conversations
Highly responsible, organized and innovative with the ability to work cohesively as part of a team
Driven and energetic self-starter who thrives on a challenge
