The Balkan Restaurant is seeking a server for an immediate start


We have the highest standards for our service team; you need equal parts service (action of helping or doing work for someone) and hospitality (quality or disposition of receiving visitors). Not only are you responsible for delivering a flawless and fun service to all your guests, we want all our customers to feel how genuinely you love where you live and what you do. The successful candidate in this position is willing to work FOH support shifts as well.


Responsibilities:


Prepares the room for dining by clothing tables and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils.
Helps patrons select food and beverages by presenting menu; offering cocktails and aperitifs; suggesting courses; explaining the chef's specialties; identifying appropriate wines; answering food preparation questions.
Transmits orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices; identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requests.
Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs
Responds to additional patron requirements by inquiring of needs; observing the dining process.
Cover support shifts as needed
Contributes to team effort by assisting others when needed
