Do you have a green thumb? Do you have a passion for flowers, plants, trees and shrubs? Do you love the fresh air and a workplace that offers incredible mountain views? You’ll be eager for the opportunities available with our Municipal Parks team this summer to “Take Care of Banff” by maintaining our trails, flowers, and perennial beds.

Duties include; watering, planting, deadheading, weeding, general care for our flowers and plants, trail maintenance, litter picking, and delivery of special events equipment.

As an ambassador for the Town of Banff, your personal values inherently align with our employee values (accountability, professionalism, efficiency, teamwork and integrity), you are energetic, flexible, have a positive attitude, are willing to learn new tasks, have an eye for detail and are ready to work outside in all temperatures and weather conditions. This position requires a valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license (current clean abstract required on employment start date) An air brake certification is a definite asset.

This position pays between $17.00/hour and $19.00/hour depending on your experience. Contracts will commence in early May and run until the end of September. When you complete the term of your contract, in its entirety, you will be awarded a $1.00 per hour bonus (to be paid on your final pay cheque) for each regular hour worked.
