What can you expect?
The Payroll & Benefits Administrator provides an outstanding experience to our staff and external agencies by assisting with receiving and processing the company bi-weekly payroll for all employees. They are responsible for administration of inquiries related to group benefits, personnel pay records, and various policies and procedures connected to payroll functions. This role can be based out of our office in Banff or Calgary/Hybrid.

This job might be right for you if you enjoy:
Processing and issuing employee payroll, review timecards, wage computation and other information for accuracy, detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies
Recording employee information such as tax exemptions, transfers and resignations to maintain and update records pertaining to payroll and group benefit plans
Administration of various payroll deductions
Be a resource for employee and managers on payroll and group benefit plans
Administration of the benefit plan and a resource for employee inquires
Completing, verifying and processing forms and documentation for unemployment insurance (ROE) and taxes (T4).
And you have:
5+ years payroll experience in Payroll and Benefits administration
Completion of Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or have relevant experience
Experience working with Dayforce Human Capital Management would be an asset
Adept at using Microsoft office suite programs (Excel, Word, Power point)
Sound understanding of Canadian tax and deduction laws, PIPA, and Alberta Employment Standards related to payroll.
Understand the varying levels of confidentiality required in payroll and act accordingly.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, function well under pressure, and demonstrate integrity and fair-mindedness.
Deadline driven with a strong sense of urgency.
