What can you expect?
The Parts Purchaser & Administrator assists in maintaining a high-functioning work environment, providing an outstanding experience via procuring an efficient and dependable supply of maintenance items, and providing supporting administration duties. The Parts Purchaser is focused on safety, efficiency, productivity, and being approachable and courteous. The Parts Purchaser & Administrator reports to the Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor or designate and liaises frequently with all resort departments, vendors, contractors, and manufacturers.

This role oversees and assists in the acquisition of supplies and tracks or creates documentation for the maintenance departments, in an efficient and timely manner while maintaining and contributing to a safe and efficient worksite e.g., planning, scheduling, price checking, cleaning, inventory management, tracking.

Timely completion of documentation e.g., daily logs, maintenance logs, PM records, training logs, inventory reports, fleet reports, equipment reports, statistical reports, purchase orders, tracking invoices.
Maintaining effective and complete inventories and equipment e.g., estimating price and delivery, ordering, shipping, tracking, receiving, stocking, price checking.
Receiving or delivery of internal mail.
Assist in health and safety department programs e.g., managing modified duties and return to work plans, tracking incidents.
Oversight, review, and completion of department documentation.
Communicating unusual conditions e.g., delays, timing, supply issues.
Adhering to company initiatives and policies, relevant legislation, and manufacturer requirements.
Timely and accurate reporting of all incidents and deficiencies to appropriate departments/personnel.
Assist in ensuring department functions are successfully completed in a timely manner.
Other duties may be requested and assigned from time to time.

And you have:
Valid Alberta vehicle operator’s license.
Must have a positive, mature, and friendly attitude along with being neat, alert, punctual and dependable.
Willing/able to perform all duties or departmental tasks.
Prepared to work flexible schedules e.g., weekends, holidays, nights, extended hours.
Prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions e.g., appropriate footwear, layers, gloves.
Calm under pressure and patient.
Effectively communicate in English, both written and verbally and in a confidential capacity.
Maintain professional conduct when acting as a company representative on or off duty, and online.
Effectively provide training, support, and assistance to coworkers.
Attend, and actively participate in meetings, training, and team events.
Computer skills an asset - experience with Microsoft suite of programs, Excel, Sharepoint, Teams.
Additional Considerations:
Employees must always be of sound mind, exhibit good judgment, and report to work fit for duty.
Requires sitting/standing for long periods of time, trunk rotation, lifting (up to 25kg), pushing/pulling (up to 45kg). Routinely climb inclined stairs up to 5m, hike and move around in an alpine environment.
This role operates machinery, including snowmobiles, off road/highway vehicles.
Candidates may be required to provide their own transportation to the resort and satellite locations.
Candidates may be required to provide and maintain CSA approved safety footwear.
Required uniform pieces (liner, jacket, pants, toque/hat, collared shirt, polo) are provided.
This role has some exposure to industrial chemicals e.g., solvents, oils, grease.
This role is subject to all terms and conditions of the Sunshine Village Employee Handbook, Policy Manual, and the Alberta Employment Standards Code.
