Job Description

Join the Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course team and help create memorable experiences for our guests in the stunning backdrop of Banff's natural beauty. As a member of our Golf Operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our guests have a seamless and enjoyable golfing experience.

Successful applicants will be matched to available positions based on previous relevant work experience, area of studies and the Golf Course operational requirements.

Preference will be given to those that are able to commit for the full season, April 8 to October 15, 2026.

Rate of pay is dependent on the positions and will be discussed in the interview.

What you will be doing:

Reporting structure is dependent on the position, such as the Golf Retail Manager, Golf Guest Services Manager, Golf Group & Revenue Manager or Golf Operations Manager.

Each position has specific job duties and qualifications that will be discussed with successful applicants during the interview process.

Golf Retail Manager - oversees the daily operations of the Golf Retail department, ensuring an exceptional guest experience through effective leadership, inventory management, and staff training. They serve as a key liaison between teams, driving efficiency, maintaining retail standards, and resolving issues to support seamless retail and golf operations.

Golf Guest Service Manager - oversees the daily flow of golf operations, ensuring a memorable guest experience through effective leadership, on-course service, and seamless coordination of carts, range, and play pace. They lead staff training, manage guest interactions, and uphold service and safety standards across all guest service touchpoints.

Reservations Supervisor-leads the Reservations Team in delivering seamless booking experiences, managing VIP guests, and overseeing group and package reservations with exceptional service. They coordinate communication across departments, handle guest feedback, and ensure reservation processes and systems run smoothly to exceed guest expectations.

Guest Services Supervisor - leads daily guest service operations, ensuring exceptional on-course experiences through effective team coordination, service standards, and event support. They oversee guest flow, maintain operational readiness, and resolve issues while fostering a high-performance and guest-focused environment.


Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

Valid Class 5 Drivers License
Able to work flexible hours (early morning, evening and occasional split shifts)
Ability to work well within both a team setting and an independent setting with limited supervision
Previous experience in a similar role in the golf busines
Business Degree or Diploma in a recognized Professional Golf Management program is an asset.
Interest in becoming or have already entered the CPGA Apprentice or Candidate program
Proficient in computer skills (reservation and POS systems)
Solutions-orientated, strong interpersonal skills and problem solving techniques
Highly motivated, career-minded team player who is guest driven with a passion to continually exceed expectations and anticipate needs
Proactive with a demonstrated eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple functions
Retail Opportunities - Previous retail and/or merchandising experience is an asset
