Why Join Mountainscape?

At Mountainscape, we specialize in creating unforgettable experiences — from corporate gatherings to custom weddings and premium event rentals — all set against the stunning backdrop of the Rockies. We thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where collaboration is key, and client satisfaction is everything. Every event is a new adventure, and no two days are ever the same — which is exactly how we like it.

Our team pulls together to make magic happen, whether it is a mountaintop wedding or a large-scale corporate celebration. If you are a proactive, detail-loving professional who enjoys solving challenges on the fly, working with passionate people, and celebrating big wins together, you will feel right at home here.

We are looking for an experienced Event Manager to join our team!

About the Role

As the Event Manager, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of high-impact events from concept to completion. This management role requires a dynamic presence across office operations, warehouse logistics, and on-site event execution. You will guide cross-functional teams, foster strong client and vendor relationships, and ensure every event is delivered with precision, creativity, and alignment to Mountainscape’s service standards.

What You will Do

Ensure every event is prepared and executed with the highest level of professionalism
Build strong relationships with clients, venues, and event partners
Oversee the coordination all event details from start to finish
Develop and manage all operational documentation (timelines, critical paths, scopes of work, show flows and logistics) ensuring accuracy
Collaborate with the design team to provide site visits and in-person event consultation
Lead event crew during preparation, on-site setup, and teardown, and post-even wrap-up
Oversee decor installations to ensure quality and design accuracy
Manage event element logistics including decor, lighting, entertainment, and other key components to ensure seamless execution
Mentor junior team members through thoughtful delegation and guidance
Solve problems creatively and efficiently under pressure
Communicate clearly and positively with all stakeholders
Make decisions in alignment with Mountainscape’s core values
Maintain financial accountability by effectively managing event budgets and ensuring adherence to cost guidelines
Complete post-even reconciliations
Ensure safety protocols are always followed
What You Bring to the Team

2+ years of proven event management experience as either a Wedding Planner or Special Event Manager (hospitality, catering, or events preferred)
Proven ability to lead complex event operations through advanced organizational strategies and systems
Demonstrated leadership in guiding cross-functional teams, driving operational excellence, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance event culture
A deep commitment to delivering exceptional, high-impact events that leave lasting impressions, driven by a genuine passion for excellence and client satisfaction
Detail-oriented leadership with a commitment to quality, ensuring every element of event execution meets the highest standards
Strategic decision-making ability grounded in Mountainscape’s core values, with a proven track record of making sound judgments under pressure to drive successful event outcomes
Ability to lead collaboratively within cross-functional teams while also operating independently with sound judgment and minimal oversight
Advanced conflict resolution and de-escalation skills, with a proven ability to manage high-pressure situations and maintain positive stakeholder relationships
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to foster strong relationships across clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams
Exceptional strategic planning capabilities with a demonstrated ability to proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure seamless event execution
Accountability to maintaining Mountainscape’s service standards, ensuring every detail supports the successful delivery of the client’s vision
Proficiency with Google Docs/Sheets, Microsoft Office, and project management tools
Creative problem-solving mindset with the ability to lead teams through challenges and implement effective, high-impact solutions under pressure
Demonstrated leadership in managing event budgets, ensuring alignment with financial guidelines to support cost-effective and high-impact execution
Experience with decor and lighting installations, or visual merchandising
Valid driver’s license and clean abstract; experience with delivery vehicles is an asset
Flexibility – evening and weekend work are common during peak seasons
Polished and professional presence — our clients expect the best, and your ability to deliver a high-touch client experience sets the tone for their event
Standard First Aid and/or CPR certification is an asset
Your Work Schedule

Weddings and events do not always stick to a 9-to-5 — and neither do we! While a typical week is around 40 hours, you will need to be flexible. Evening and weekend shifts are part of the magic, and yes, overtime may be required when things get busy. We will keep you in the loop with your schedule, and you will always know what is coming.

What You Get Back

Extended health & dental coverage – because your well-being matters
Tuition Reimbursement Program – to sharpen your skills and knowledge
Staff discounts – enjoy discounts on rentals and services
Team events & celebrations – we work hard and celebrate harder
Long service awards – because we celebrate commitment to our team
This position may include access to staff accommodation. If you are selected for an interview, we can discuss availability and whether this option would be helpful for you.
Work Environment

Work comfortably at heights and use ladders safely and effectively
Lift and handle loads of up to 25kg on a regular basis
Support weekend and evening events with flexibility and reliability
Contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative, and client-focused team culture
Our Commitment to Equality

Mountainscape is committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace. We welcome and encourage applications from all qualified individuals, regardless of race, colour, ancestry, place of origin, religious beliefs, gender identity or expression, age, physical or mental disability, marital or family status, source of income, or sexual orientation. We believe that a diverse team strengthens our ability to create exceptional experiences for our clients.
