Outside Sales Consultant – Alberta

Location: Alberta (Remote, with travel to client sites)

Industry: Woodworking Software Solutions

About Us

Planit Canada is a leading provider of software solutions for the woodworking industry, empowering manufacturers across the country to take control of their shop’s success. We partner with our clients to help them optimize their production with tools like Cabinet Vision and Alphacam — powerful software for designing, engineering, and automating wood manufacturing.

We’re looking for an Outside Sales Consultant to grow our presence in Alberta, build strong relationships with manufacturers of all sizes, and connect them with the right technology to elevate their business.

What You’ll Do

As an Outside Sales Consultant, you’ll work closely with shop owners, production managers, and designers to understand their business challenges and show them how our software can solve real problems. This is a consultative sales role, with a focus on long-term client success, not quick transactions.

Your responsibilities will include:

Identifying and qualifying new business opportunities across Alberta and the Prairies
Managing and growing relationships with existing clients
Collaborating with technical specialists to provide custom demonstrations, prepare proposals and solution packages
Maintaining an accurate pipeline and meeting quarterly sales goals
Representing Planit Canada at industry events and trade shows
Who You Are

You’re passionate about helping manufacturers succeed. You love learning about new technology, are naturally curious about how things work, and enjoy solving business problems with smart solutions.

You also bring:

3+ years of experience in B2B sales (woodworking, manufacturing, tech, or related)
Experience working with or selling software solutions a plus
Strong communication skills in English
Comfort with remote work, regular travel, and autonomy
A valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the Prairies
Why Join Planit Canada?

We’re a people-first company. You’ll join a close-knit team that genuinely cares about helping each other and our clients thrive. At Planit Canada, you’re not just selling software — you’re building partnerships that make a difference in the future of wood manufacturing in Canada.

We offer:

Competitive base salary + commission
Car allowance
Comprehensive benefits
Flexible work environment
Ongoing professional development and support
The opportunity to make a real impact in a growing territory
Apply Today

If you’re ready to help woodshops across the Prairies unlock their full potential through technology, we’d love to hear from you. Apply with your resume and a short note telling us why you’re the right fit for Planit Canada.
