Support the onboarding, development, and technical growth of new maintenance staff.
Contribute to a culture that is solution-focused, safety-first, and grounded in mutual respect.

Perform hands-on maintenance work as needed across hotel and staff housing (e.g., drywall, paint, doors, locks, faucets, drains).
Identify and resolve issues proactively, addressing small problems before they impact operations or guests.
Instruct and train team members on essential maintenance skills and safety best practices.
Ensure all technicians are productively engaged and contributing meaningfully each day.
Monitor and maintain organization and cleanliness of maintenance shops and workspaces.
Work Planning & System Management

Use CMMS systems (Transcendent, ALICE) to assign, update, and close out work orders.
Prioritize urgent and important jobs, balancing short-term fixes with long-term maintenance needs.
Maintain accurate inventory records; communicate material needs to the Maintenance Coordinator.
Reassign or dismiss team members early if productive work is not available.
Pool, Boiler, and Facility Systems Support

Monitor and operate hotel pools and spas; conduct daily water checks and ensure compliance with AHS standards.
Ensure chemicals are stocked and systems are functioning properly.
Perform basic boiler operations and equipment inspections (BMS, noise/vibration checks, leak monitoring).
Respond to BMS alarms and assist in managing mechanical room operations during off-hours.
Contractor & Equipment Coordination

Assist with or supervise outside contractors (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, kitchen systems), ensuring safety and quality standards are upheld.
Support basic kitchen equipment maintenance (burners, thermocouples, hinges, etc.).
Ensure technical staff are using tools properly and safely.
Safety, Compliance & Emergency Preparedness

Ensure all technicians follow PPE requirements and health & safety protocols.
Be familiar with emergency procedures, including fire response and evacuation.
Ensure all work is performed to regulatory and internal compliance standards
