Commissionaires is a not-for-profit provider of security services that operates across the nation. There are now 15 divisions representing all the provinces of Canada and three territories. Commissionaires Southern Alberta is responsible for providing professional security services for Calgary, Red Deer, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, and Suffield. We have protected people and property for public and private sector clients from coast to coast for more than 90 years.

Job Purpose

The Canadian Corps of Commissionaires – Is now seeking people with a desire to provide one of our premium clients with excellent service as a detention guard working within the RCMP Detachment in Banff. We have two vacancies:

1. Full time guard (Nights) - 0000 to 0800

2. Casual/on-call guard

Detention guards monitor and safeguard persons in custody to ensure their security and well-being. Typical duties include observing and performing frequent checks for irregularity, recording activities, assisting RCMP members, organizing meals and maintaining the cleanliness of the cells.

Essential Requirements

· Successfully complete an RCMP security clearance (Approximately 3 months)

· Ability to work independently or within a team

· Very good verbal and written communication abilities

· Current Emergency or Standard First Aid

· Former RCMP/Military experience (Strong Asset)
