What can you expect?

Join our team as a Journeyman Electrician and be a vital part of ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all electrical systems at Banff Sunshine Village Resort and associated sites, including buildings, lifts, snowmaking equipment, generators, outdoor facilities, and events. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a high-functioning work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead/assist in electrical maintenance tasks, including preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance.
Ensure a safe and efficient work site at all times.
Complete required documentation, such as daily checks, maintenance logs, and inventory counts.
Communicate unusual operating conditions and adhere to relevant legislation.
Report all incidents and deficiencies promptly.
Requirements:
Alberta or Inter-provincial Electrical trade certification.
Valid Alberta vehicle operator’s license, and a clean drivers abstract
Positive, mature, and friendly attitude with a strong work ethic.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, nights, and extended hours.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Ability to provide training, support, and assistance to coworkers.
Own a basic set of tools appropriate for the position.
Additional Considerations:
Physical requirements include standing/walking for extended periods, lifting (up to 25kg), pushing/pulling (up to 45kg), and working at heights.
Skiing or snowboarding skills are assets but not required for the role.
Exposure to industrial chemicals and electrically energized systems may occur.
