Banff Adventures is looking for an enthusiastic, friendly and competent individual to join our head office team in the role of sales and marketing coordinator. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the mountains and wants to help grow and represent our company. The role is permanent, full time and includes both relationship building and marketing duties:

Sales & Marketing Duties

Set up training and product knowledge sessions with front line staff and resellers
Organize and implement sales incentives
Attend community networking functions and workshops
Liaise with resellers and tour operators
Attend tradeshows
Organize FAM trips
Generate sales leads and new business through marketing plans and tactics
Manage and develop client & supplier relationships
Assist the General Manger in preparing, developing and implementing marketing strategies and collateral
Manage the development of all marketing materials - ads, brochures, flyers, website
Assist with website maintenance and analytics
Prepare design briefs
Have an eye for design and be able to create flyers, posts etc.
Prepare and implement a strong Social Media plan (including FB/Twitter/Instagram/Blogs)
Prepare monthly reports of all campaigns
Assist the Reservation Manager in setting sales incentives for staff
Responsible for the Banff Canoe Club Corporate Pass Program
Assess customer satisfaction through the development of surveys and mystery shopper programs
Deal with all group inquiries and bookings
Respond to customer review sites and platforms
Update website listings on referral sites
Requirements

Applicants must:

Have previous marketing or sales experience
Have a valid work visa (valid for at least 12 months)
Be proficient in Microsoft applications
Have a strong work ethic and high customer service standards
Have experience in, and understanding of, Bow Valley tourism and business operations
Have experience with social media platforms
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Be detail orientated
Be familiar with basic design programs - e.g Canva
Be comfortable attending tradeshows and presenting
Live in Banff or Canmore
