What can you expect?

This outdoor role involves physical labour and lifting, while maintaining a safe freestyle terrain for skiers and snowboarders. The Terrain Park Grooming Assistant Supervisor will strive to promote and maintain Banff Sunshine Village as a leading-edge freestyle resort which provides terrain for all ability levels. They support collaboration with media and marketing departments on sponsorship requirements, promotion, and innovative advancements of the industry. Assisting the Terrain Park supervisor with the oversight of staff activities.

This job might be right for you if you enjoy:
Participating in construction, design and maintenance of the Terrain Park
Assisting with hiring, scheduling, work assignments and performance evaluations
Assists Vehicle Maintenance with snowcat services and maintenance as needed
Running day to day operations in Supervisors absence
Maintaining all snow fencing and signage within the park
Insuring daily checks, rosters and grooming reports are documented and complete
Helping to train staff in daily operations
Making sure sponsorship agreements are met
Provide a safe, fun and enjoyable freestyle ski/snowboard area
Working in the great outdoors (it’s cold!).
And you have:
Must have a minimum 2 years’ experience working with freestyle terrain
Must have a experience driving Snowcat in a terrain park
Has completed 40 or more hours slope grooming
Able to use Ceridian Time Solutions
Has basic understanding of snow farming techniques
Knowledgeable with woodworking, metal working and welding tools
Have good organizational skills
Is physically fit
Able to communicate written or orally with all team members
Is a competent freestyle terrain rider
Experience training
Experience riding in a park setting
Excellent customer relation skills
