What will you do in this job?:
Work directly with BJC Staff Housing team
Complete repairs and attend to maintenance requests in staff housing
Tracking of preventative maintenance and be point of contact for outside contractors
Project work, such as painting, coordinating furniture moves, troubleshooting appliances
Caring for walkways, lawns
Garbage removal as necessary
Support the Housing Manager with capital projects and staff housing improvements
Bi-Weekly health and safety inspections of all properties, common spaces, and tenant units
Aid in the preparation of the seasonal housing for subleasing
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Positive, can-do attitude
Enjoy a variety of work, including both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
Current Alberta Driver's License
Able to speak, read, write and understand English
Basic computer skills an asset
Able to lift to 20lbs (often) up to 100lbs (occasionally)
Prior maintenance or trade experience an asset
Willingness to work evenings and weekend
Sense of humor and appreciation of coffee preferred
