Banff Adventures specializes in booking activities, tours and offering quality rentals in the Canadian Rockies. We pride ourselves on providing valuable guest experiences and excellent customer service. We love where we live and are excited to share it with guests.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organized and motivated Manager to join our team. The Activity Reservation Manager plans and directs the day-to-day operations of the Banff Adventure Centre. This includes developing strategies to improve customer service, drive sales, increase profitability and create policies and programs that will increase revenue. They will maintain high standards and foster a positive environment for the team. The role must ensure customer needs are met, complaints are resolved and service is efficient and memorable.

We are wanting to find an individual to help us increase efficiencies in all aspects of our business as well as assist in increasing product lines and rental operations.

Specific Duties include:

Drive customer service excellence in every aspect of the Adventure Centre operation, including store appearance, rental fleet (bikes / winter rentals) and selling procedures
Ensure strategic goals and sales targets are met by maximizing sales and gross profit, reviewing sales performance, controlling expenses, and managing inventory
Develop business strategies to increase market share, expand store traffic and optimize profitability
Recruit, train, develop, and manage the reservation team. Provide ongoing training to improve the knowledge base of the staff
Provide staff with feedback, coaching and performance evaluations to assess training needs and build career paths
Coordinate daily staffing and develop employee schedules
Ensure the operation complies with outlined safety policies
Make sure wages, work hours, and equal employment opportunities are upheld
Perform administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of all operations, including compliance with policies and procedures, reporting etc.
Assist Management team with developing strategic business plans
Oversee the rental fleet operation including ordering of equipment, ensuring maintenance of equipment and training of staff in correct use. Rental fleet includes: Bikes (summer) / ice cleats, skates, snowshoes, cross country skis (winter)
Work in collaboration with other department managers
Requirements: Applicants must have:

Minimum of 2 years previous management experience
Minimum of 1 year sales experience
Experience in the travel / tourism industry
Knowledge of the local & surrounding area
Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications
Valid work permit (in Canada) with at least one year remaining
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $52,000.00 - $55,000 per year
