Full job description
Position Overview

We are looking for a full-time seasonal FOH Lead Server for the BlackSwift Bistro that will be in charge of overseeing good operations and delivery of the Bistro, managing the team of servers, while also bartending. If you have organizational, multi-tasking and communication skills and are looking to work in a fast-paced environment, this is the position for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate activities of servers
Train & coach new servers, support servers in busy times.
Mix and serve traditional and house cocktails for the restaurant. Create the seasonal cocktail & drinks menu.
Tech Savvy and computer literacy for the POS system. Fixing troubleshooting, servers payment entry mistakes, digital menu updates.
Prepare weekly schedules in accordance with expected occupancy
Inventory management - Prepare liquor orders weekly, and monitor supply levels.
Review processes and work with Chef & Operation Manager to improve systems. Bring ideas to the table to increase margin.
Communicate with staff and ensure implementation of new policies, protocols, procedures.
Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the bistro. Create and implement shift duties, cleaning schedules. Notify maintenance of items needing to be fixed.
Deal professionally with customers’ concerns and feedback. Be the first of contact for servers’ questions or guests complaints.
Ensure excellent food services and quality control
Perform other duties as requested by management

Requirements

1 year experience in supervisor role
Experience in bartending an asset
Valid ProServe Certification
Available from May 11 to October 17
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Provide clean criminal records
Staff Accommodation available upon request and availability
