Job Description

The Staff Cafeteria Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the staff cafeteria within an organization. This includes managing cafeteria staff, ensuring high-quality food service, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, and fostering a positive dining experience for employees.

What you will be doing:

Supervise and support employee’s on-the-floor; coach and develop them to maintain standards.
Understand daily operations and anticipate upcoming events.
Review staff feedback with the Staff Cafeteria Chef and address concerns timely and professionally.
Oversee food preparation to ensure compliance with recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
Monitor food storage, handling, and preparation to uphold safety and sanitation regulations.
Responsible for maintaining standards for condiments, table settings, ambiance, and overall function and flow of the dining room.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

Proven experience in food service management, preferably in a cafeteria or similar environment.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
Knowledge of Alberta food safety and sanitation regulations.
Basic understanding of budgeting and financial management principles
