Overview

Duties

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
Assist in menu planning by suggesting innovative dish ideas and ensuring ingredient availability
Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation throughout all kitchen activities
Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and presentation
Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food efficiently and accurately
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy hours
Use knife skills expertly to chop, slice, and prepare ingredients for various dishes
Requirements

Proven experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within restaurant or food service settings
Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering is a plus
Demonstrated culinary experience in fine dining environments preferred
Excellent knife skills and knowledge of food safety protocols are essential
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Prior kitchen experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is required
