Overview:
The Retail Area Manager based in Grand Prairie area shall provide leadership, direction, and accountability for our Retail Stores Team in a designated region. The ideal candidate is a leader in driving results through effective sales team management, customer/guest engagement, coaching, and mentoring using all available business KPI’s. Responsible for managing multiple priorities, the supervision of a team of Store Managers, retail projects, execution of initiatives to enhance performance, execution, driving top-line sales with a strong focus on profitability. You will provide sound leadership and coaching for all direct reports and will work closely with the Retail District Managers, Store Operations and all Head Office partners to ensure and support the growth and development of the region’s retail team through established goals and objectives which align with revenue, operations, and customer service targets to enhance profitability.

You will be responsible for the achievement of aggressive operations goals and targets, focused on high levels of customer satisfaction and overall store-level performance.
Responsibilities:
Ensures communication, understanding, and belief in the company's goals and mission statement. Coaches all employees to work towards a common company objective.
Responsible for company monthly and weekly revenue and profit projections.
Oversees Store Managers ensure that daily and weekly staff schedules are in direct relation to daily, weekly revenue.
Review monthly sales objectives and develop strategies to achieve targets
Gives prompt and proper direction to Store Managers and Direct reports
Provide leadership and support for all direct reports to ensure they excel in their roles to enhance employee engagement in order to drive results and achieve top performance.
Develop a positive collaborative working relationship with staff and partners to aid company performance
Adheres and enforces all company safety policies and procedures.
Attends to any emergencies as they arise at the store level and provide resolution or the appropriate level of communication.
Identify operational and merchandising deficiencies in all stores and provide solutions and guidance to all stores
Leads any training initiatives to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
Assumes responsibility for job and store profitability by finding areas of improvement and implementing initiatives.
Develop a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization to accomplish the company’s mission.
Adheres and enforces all company safety policies and procedures.
Attends Store and Head office meetings as required.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
You must have 3-5 years Multi-Unit store management experience in the retail industry, cannabis retail industry preferred.
Must have SellSafe and Selling It Right certification to work in Alberta and BC
A valid First Aid certification is considered an asset
To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, e-mail software, and the use of the Internet.
You must be well-spoken and possess the ability to speak clearly and confidently in all business settings. The ability to conduct and preside over meetings.
Excellent Business Math skills. The ability to read, understand and calculate math calculations such as discounts, interest rates, percentages, etc. Ability to apply concepts of basic math and writing skills.
The ability to delegate set expectations and monitor the progress of all direct reports.
Motivate, inspire, provide, and accept feedback to and from employees.
The prioritization skills are necessary to use time effectively and set action plans to achieve business targets.
The individual takes responsibility for subordinates' activities, be available to staff, provides regular performance feedback, develops subordinates' skills, and encourages growth.
