Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, and managing transactions in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food handling, cashiering, and maintaining high standards of sanitation and safety. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food industry operations while delivering a positive experience to our customers.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, including basic food preparation and serving
Operate cash registers, handle cash transactions, and process payments efficiently with proper cash handling procedures
Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, kitchen equipment, and food preparation surfaces in compliance with food safety regulations
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and minimize wait times
Assist in restocking supplies and organizing the workspace for smooth daily operations
Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive dining experience
Qualifications

Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry is preferred
Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly
Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
Kitchen or food industry experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
