Full job description
I.D.A. Neighbourly Pharmacy Banff is looking for a full-time Front Store Manager to join our team in Banff, Alberta.

Responsibilities:
Lead and support initiatives aligned with the store’s strategic objectives.
Adhere to and promote the Neighbourly Pharmacy policy manual, fostering a positive work environment that attracts, retains, and engages employees.
Oversee practices related to returns, complaints, store security, and employee discounts, delegating responsibilities where appropriate.
Manage or delegate responsibilities for cash handling, daily reports, banking, and deposits.
Ensure proper store opening/closing, alarm activation, and day-end procedures.
Oversee and manage all aspects of front store staffing.
In collaboration with HR, manage hiring, discipline, and termination as needed.
Oversee inventory control in line with budgets and preferred supplier programs.
Assist the Store Operator with budgeting, purchasing, pricing, and inventory strategies to maximize gross margins.
Set and execute promotional goals, including ordering and setup.
Monitor market trends and adjust promotions, product mix, or merchandising as needed.
Control shrinkage related to returns, payouts, theft, and pricing errors; ensure proper receiving and pricing procedures are followed.
Manage the Monthly Cycle Count Schedule and report inventory to the Neighbourly Pharmacy Inventory Manager.
Coordinate signage and POP materials, including placement of banners, promotional signage, and shelf talkers.
Miscellaneous tasks to support the Store Operator/Pharmacy Manager.
Qualifications:
2+ years of retail management experience (preferred), with proven ability to lead and train teams.
Strong people management and interpersonal skills, including motivation, delegation, conflict resolution, active listening, and respectful communication.
Professional attitude with excellent communication skills for interacting with customers, staff, and suppliers.
Valid driver’s licence required.
Criminal Record Check required
Schedule:
40 hours per week.
The store operates Monday to Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The typical schedule consists of five 8-hour shifts per week.
Some evening and weekend shifts, including both opening and closing, will be required.
