Scope

The Line Cook will support the other Cooks and Chefs as assigned in all areas of the Kitchen.

Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare, season, and cook food as directed, meeting special dietary instructions as required
Follow recipes and presentation specifications
Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Clean and maintain assigned station and overall kitchen through practicing good food safety and sanitation
Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
Physical Demands

Continuous standing for long periods of time
Frequent walking, bending
Frequent reaching above and below shoulder height
Frequent lifting and carrying up to 22 pounds / 10 kg
Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds / 23 kg
Working in a hot, noisy, fast-paced environment
Qualifications

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
Culinary degree or 1-2 years of work experience in a high volume kitchen environment
Able to meet the physical demands of the position
High attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
