WE’RE HIRING DECOR AND EVENT ASSISTANTS!

We are looking for décor and event assistants to join the Jacqueline Rae Event team!

Décor and Event Assistants are an amazing asset to our team, ensuring every beautiful detail from set-up to strike has been thoughtfully placed to create the most memorable experience for our clients.

This role requires extended periods of time on your feet (often outdoors), working under pressure, and exceptional attention to detail.

This position is a seasonal contract, however, opportunities for growth are always available for the right individual. This role is perfect for someone who wants to add to their income and/or skillset with a side job.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Each event week you will be attending a Jacqueline Rae team overview meeting to review the wedding day schedule and all décor details

Décor set-up & styling from approximately 9:00 am-2:00 pm. Set-up may include:

Moving and unloading décor, signage, and chair. This involves physical work with light to medium lifting
Setting and styling tables in their entirety as per the design
Finalizing every décor detail to perfection
Coordination assistance from approximately 2:00 pm-6:00 pm. Assistance may include:

Assisting guests and answering questions
Tending to the bridal party
Assisting the direction of the wedding party prior to and during the ceremony
Décor strike may be required for some events on the evening of the event

Qualifications:

You are organized, structured, and goal-oriented
You work well under pressure
You enjoy going above and beyond for clients
You are very personable and enjoy working with a team
You are a quick learner and enjoy problem-solving
You are professional in both appearance and the way you carry yourself
Previous experience in the weddings or event and hospitality industry is an asset
A certificate, diploma, or degree in the Events, Weddings, and Social Planner, or Tourism Management field is an asset
Requirements:

Must be interested in aesthetics
Must be available to work weekends and some weekday weddings
Must have access to a computer, email, and cellular phone
Must have reliable transportation
Compensation:
Based on experience, with an hourly rate provided
