The Human Resources Advisor provides an outstanding experience for our internal guests, ensuring a positive experience for employees and volunteers working at the Company’s three operational sites. The Advisor contributes to the daily operations of the HR department, while overseeing initiatives, projects, and programs relating to recruiting, engagement, and employee relations – from onboarding to offboarding at employment end. The Advisor reports to the Human Resources Director and liaises closely with all departments.

Provide support to employees & supervisors in areas of HR best practices including coaching, performance & general employee relations.
Advise & assist with a variety of employee enquiries while ensuring confidentiality is respected.
Oversee & manage the completion of operational deliverables, including engagement & continuous improvement initiatives
Facilitate pertinent training sessions, as needed, in conjunction with the team and relevant to company needs.
Monitor & amend day-to-day HR processes & ensure standard operating procedures for all areas of operations are maintained. Contributing to employee policy development, roll out, and interpretation.
Alongside the HR Director, carrying out employee incident investigations and conflict resolutions, performance management, and when required, terminations.
Assisting with development and delivery of company training programs and initiatives.
Assisting the Recruiter with various recruitment activities as required
Assisting with uniform distribution, maintenance and inventory
Other duties as assigned
Experience/Requirements

Designation or related post-secondary education in Human Resources, Labour Relations, or a combination of education and experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have several years’ experience working in seasonal, recreation and tourism-focused workplaces.
Knowledge of HR best practices and legislation.
Advanced computer skills and working with an up-to-date suite of Microsoft Office programs (including strong knowledge of Excel) is a must. Knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce or a similar HRIS system is preferred.
Strong spoken and written communication skills.
Competent to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships throughout the Company.
Excellent time management, scheduling skills, and a strong aptitude for forward-planning.
Professional, positive, and friendly attitude.
Prepared to work flexible schedules (weekends, holidays, some evenings, and overtime).
Prepared to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions (appropriate footwear, outerwear, etc.).
Calm under pressure and patient.
Must always maintain confidentiality and professional conduct, on or off-duty, and online.
Effectively provide training, support and assistance to coworkers and other departments.
