Position: Food & Beverage Banquet Supervisor

Report to: Food & Beverage or Banquet Manager

Department: Food & Beverage

Hours: As required

Primary Function: As a F&B Banquet Supervisor, your primary goal is to oversee/support banquet operations and events while supporting the restaurant operations when needed. You will ensure efficient and profitable F&B operations while upholding the highest standards of quality and service. Your role encompasses supervising banquet staff, coordinating events, and maintaining exceptional guest experiences.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead banquet service operations, including setup, execution, and breakdown
Coordinate with kitchen team for banquet menu execution and timing
Train, coach and mentor banquet servers and support staff
Assist in supervising the restaurant operations as needed
Model exemplary customer service and problem resolution
Support event planning and execution with sales and events team
Monitor banquet labor costs and maintain budgets
Manage banquet inventory and supplies
Enforce cash handling and service policies
Maintain health and safety compliance
Communicate effectively regarding event details and guest feedback
Perform hands-on duties including serving, setting up conference rooms, and supporting restaurant service when required
Work closely with the Banquet Manager and F&B Manager
Requirements/Experience:

Event planning experience an asset Extensive experience in banquets — including buffets, plated dinners, weddings, and conference events.
Experience in reading and understanding BEOs and executing according to the details provided.
Experience in restaurant service to be able to support the restaurant during non-banquet times as needed.
Flexible with scheduling — available for early morning shifts (as early as 6am) and late nights for wedding functions.
Strong leadership and people skills — will be responsible for supervising shifts, handling guest issues professionally, and coaching/mentoring junior team members.
Work directly with the Banquet Manager and F&B Manager, successful candidate must be team-oriented and communicative.
Previous wedding experience is an asset as we do a high volume of those events.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 44 per week
