Automotive Service Coordinator

Full-Time | Banff, Alberta

Looking for more than just another job?

DJs Garage is hiring an Automotive Service Coordinator to join our local Banff team. This is a front-of-house role focused on customer service, scheduling, coordination, and helping keep day-to-day shop operations running smoothly.

We’re not a high-pressure dealership environment. We’re a locally operated shop that values teamwork, organization, and providing honest service to both local customers and commercial fleet partners.

You’ll work closely with our Operations Manager, operations team, and a small group of experienced technicians in a collaborative and supportive environment. Our shop team includes two journeyman technicians and two apprentices, and this role is designed to be part of the team — not manage a large staff or operate independently.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, staying organized in a fast-paced setting, and being part of a close-knit local team.

Automotive experience is helpful, but not required — we’re happy to train someone with strong customer service, logistics, administrative, hospitality, or coordination experience who has the right attitude and willingness to learn.

Why Work With Us?

$25–$27/hour based on experience
Full-time, year-round employment
Monday to Friday daytime schedule
Fully equipped indoor shop environment designed for year-round work in the Rockies
Supportive local team culture
Regular support and communication with the Operations Manager and operations team
Opportunity to grow into the role
Limited staff accommodation may be available for the right candidate
Work and live in the heart of the Canadian Rockies

Benefits & Perks

Extended health, dental & life insurance
RRSP contribution matching
Paid medical and personal days
Health spending account
Uniforms provided
Employee pricing on automotive parts and services
Access to shop space for personal vehicle projects
Discounts on local tours and activities
Company events and team outings
The Rockies as your backyard — including opportunities to experience our tours firsthand

What You’ll Do

Welcome customers and provide exceptional service
Coordinate vehicle appointments and shop scheduling
Prepare estimates, invoices, and repair orders
Communicate maintenance and repair recommendations clearly
Coordinate parts ordering and supplier communication
Process payments and maintain accurate records
Help coordinate maintenance scheduling for the Discover Banff Tours fleet
Support day-to-day front office and operational flow

What We’re Looking For

Strong communication and customer service skills
Organized and comfortable multitasking
Positive, team-oriented attitude
Comfortable learning software and scheduling systems
Ability to work independently while working closely with a team
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Automotive experience is an asset, but not required
Experience in hospitality, tourism, logistics, administration, retail, or service coordination is also highly valued

Team Environment

Our shop team includes experienced journeyman technicians, apprentices, and operations staff who work closely together every day. This is a collaborative support role — not a large corporate management position — and you’ll have regular communication, guidance, and support from the Operations Manager and broader team.
