We're seeking a Sous Chef to join us at Bear Street Tavern! Banff's best pizza, as seen on You Gotta Eat Here. Our signature pizzas, sandwiches & cast iron specialties will satisfy any hungry Banff adventurer. What You'll Do
Support the Chef de Cuisine in delivering high-quality food and exceptional guest experiences
Help lead and motivate the kitchen team, fostering a positive, efficient work environment
Oversee food preparation to ensure consistency, quality, presentation, and standards are met
Maintain kitchen organization, cleanliness, and operational efficiency
Ensure stations are properly stocked and ready for peak service periods
Assist with inventory, ordering, and record-keeping while minimizing waste
Assist with training, coaching, and developing kitchen team members
Act as an ambassador for BHC by helping identify and hire great culinary talent
What You Have
2-3 years culinary experience is required
Prior experience in a supervisory kitchen role is an asset
Food Safety and WHMIS certification required (we can help you get certified if needed)
Knowledge of kitchen training best practices and standard operating procedures
Strong leadership and teamwork skills with a collaborative mindset
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while staying calm under pressure
Flexible schedule required
