Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies 111 Bear Street, Banff, AB T1L 1A3 $22.50 an hour - Temporary, Part-time, Seasonal Job details Pay $22.50 an hour Job type Temporary Seasonal Part-time Shift and schedule Weekends as needed Evenings as needed Evening shift Location 111 Bear Street, Banff, AB T1L 1A3 Full job description Key Responsibilities Film & Programming Operations: Set up and operate AV equipment (training provided) for immersive film screenings Run scheduled film programs, ensuring punctual and smooth playback Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and organization of the programming space and surrounding grounds Support occasional special events or rentals hosted in the secondary programming space Visitor Services & Events: Greet and assist visitors in a friendly, professional manner Answer visitor inquiries about exhibitions, programming, and local area attractions Sell admissions and event tickets using a point-of-sale (POS) system Assist with setup and takedown for museum and secondary programming space events Collect and report attendance data; gather visitor feedback as needed Support general front-of-house operations as needed inside the museum Foster positive relationships with museum staff, members, and visitors Qualifications Excellent verbal communication skills in English Friendly, outgoing, and able to work independently Strong problem-solving, customer service skills, and AV troubleshooting Comfortable with Windows-based software and AV equipment (projectors, speakers, media players) Strong AV or technical experience Physically able to lift up to 15 lbs Dependable, with availability to work weekends and some evenings General knowledge of Banff and surrounding areas Assets (Preferred but not Required) First Aid or ProServe certification Bilingualism or multilingualism Working Environment This position involves both indoor and outdoor work. The secondary programming space is located on the back lawn of the museum, and candidates should be prepared for variable weather conditions. Training on all technical systems will be provided.
