DETAILS

Located in Lake Louise
Valid Canadian Work-Permit Required for International Applicants
Full-time position, average of 35-40 hours per week
Seasonal contract expiring October 31, 2025
Starting wage: $19.25/hr
After 90 day probation period: $21.25/hr
Summer Incentive Bonus: Receive $2/hr on top of every eligible regular hour worked between May 22nd and October 8th (conditions apply)
SUMMARY

The Kitchen Steward is responsible for providing fast and effective cleaning of all kitchen utensils, dishware, glassware and pots while maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen at all times. Assist with food prep as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure all dishes, pots, pans and cutlery, etc. are clean and sanitized
Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment without supervision, and independently and as a member of a team in the evenings
Put dishes back in the appropriate place throughout the kitchen and serving areas
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of equipment and work area by sweeping, moping and keeping it free of clutter
Clean and organize all related work equipment and areas from the evening service to best prepare the kitchen for the morning culinary team
Use proper chemicals to sanitize items, and always follow WHMIS guidelines
Ensuring chemicals are fully stocked
Follow Health and Safety rules and guidelines at all times
Organizing recycling and delivering to appropriate area
Train new Team Members
Cleaning, stocking and serving staff cafeteria
Work exclusively overnight/evening shifts, or day shifts/evening shifts as required
Rotating schedule of days/ evenings, 12:00pm - 8:00pm or 6:00pm - 2:00am
Assist with prep work under the direction and supervision of a qualified cook
Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of any problems or significant issue
Perform other related duties as required by the Executive Chef
QUALIFICATIONS

Previous kitchen experience preferred
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and be able to complete multiple flights of stairs per shift carrying supplies
Must be able to work independently and at times unsupervised
Energetic, flexible, hands-on individual with initiative and integrity
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Only candidates who are legally authorized to work in Canada will be considered. Sponsorship is not available.
