Town of Banff Banff, AB Seasonal, Full-time Job details Job type Seasonal Full-time Shift and schedule Weekends as needed Holidays Location Banff, AB Full job description Full-Time, Seasonal June – September 30 The Seasonal Parking Operations Attendant will “Take Care of Banff” by providing direct support to the Paid Parking Coordinator through routine parking meter and permit system maintenance, administrative support, and direct client service as needed. You will interact with and assist locals and visitors using the Visitor Paid Parking and Resident Parking Permit programs. During the busy Banff summer, you will assist the Paid Parking Coordinator with routine parking systems maintenance such as changing receipt rolls, meter software resets, and Resident Parking Permit application reviews. Additionally, there may be occasional requirements to gather vehicle parking occupancy data within the townsite. You will also spend much of your day helping locals and visitors in the use and implementation of the Visitor Paid Parking and Resident Paid Parking programs. From being outside on foot in our downtown core to working with residents and visitors at the front counter, you will often be a first point of contact with people who require assistance with the system. As a highly visible representative for the Town of Banff, you are the face of the department’s commitment in “Fostering community respect, safety and the beauty of our town.” You will engage with people in many different situations and your solution-based problem-solving skills will be on display as you provide assistance and direction to our clients in a busy environment. Ideally you are currently enrolled in a post-secondary education program and have an interest in administrative duties and client centered service. You have the interest and physical ability to spend much of your day outside. You are willing to perform light maintenance tasks on parking meters and you are willing to learn how to administer the Visitor Paid Parking and Resident Permit Parking systems. This position requires working early evenings, weekends and statutory holidays. Working safely is a condition of employment at the Town of Banff.
