Full job description
Our fast-paced restaurant, the BlackSwift Bistro, located at the trail-head of the historic Johnston Canyon hike, is looking for full-time Preparation Cooks that can help prepare ingredients needed in the preparation of meals. The successful candidates will be responsible for the grab & go items, creating meal portions, cleaning food, cooking meals and maintaining a clean work area.

The 2026 season will begin on May 9 and end on October 17.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of all deli grab & go, snacks and beverages
Assist with food preparation and cooking
Prepare the counter to the standards laid down by the Executive Chef and Sous.
Ensure daily knowledge of the food to be served, together with the appropriate garnish, portions and prices
Collect and remove to the appropriate area all dirty prep equipment and any other light equipment
Excellent organizational, time management and multitasking skills
Great collaboration and teamwork skills
Effective communication skills
Keep the cooking area clean & hygienic
Requirements

Available from May 9 to October 17 2026
Clean criminal record check
Legally eligible to work in Canada (work visa applicants // we do not sponsor)
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 5 months

Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
