In this senior leadership role, you will support the Restaurant General Manager in overseeing the daily operations of a high-end dining experience while ensuring flawless service, exceptional guest satisfaction, and strong team performance. The Assistant General Manager plays a critical role in driving operational excellence, mentoring department leaders, and maintaining the highest standards of luxury hospitality. Competitive Salary: $78,000 - $82,000 gross annually, based on previous experience & education. Job Duties Include: Support the Restaurant General Manager in leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing leadership team, fostering a culture of service excellence, accountability, and collaboration. Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring seamless service delivery, adherence to luxury standards (LQA/Forbes), and a consistent, high-end guest experience. Maintain a visible leadership presence on the floor, proactively resolving guest concerns and supporting the team during all service periods, including acting as Manager on Duty when required. Drive financial performance by supporting revenue growth, managing labor and operational costs, assisting with forecasting, and ensuring effective inventory control. Enhance guest satisfaction by monitoring feedback, implementing continuous improvements, and supporting innovative food and beverage initiatives that elevate the dining experience. Ensure effective communication and operational alignment across departments, while supporting administrative functions such as scheduling, payroll accuracy, compliance, and reporting. Qualifications Your Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 3–5 years of progressive leadership experience in Food & Beverage Management. Experience in upscale or luxury hospitality environments (4–5 star properties preferred). Proven ability to lead and develop management teams. Strong understanding of LQA and Forbes service standards preferred. Strong beverage and culinary knowledge required. Must hold ProServe certification. Post-secondary education in Hospitality or Food & Beverage Management considered an asset. Working knowledge of systems such as Silverware, Birchstreet, Watson considered an asset. Strong financial acumen including budgeting, cost control and labor management. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. Results-oriented with strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
