Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and strategic Transport Manager to oversee our transportation operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of Alberta passenger transportation regulations and safety standards. As a key member of our management team, the Transport Manager will play a vital role in maintaining high maintenance and service quality and for our fleet vehicles.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement transportation strategies to meet company goals and customer expectations
Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, routing, and dispatching of vehicles
Manage a team of drivers and providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation laws, safety regulations, and company policies
Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime
Analyze transportation data to identify areas for efficiency improvements and cost reductions
Prepare reports on transportation performance metrics for senior management review
Address any operational issues promptly to ensure seamless delivery services
Schedule Drivers and buses to cover daily services and private groups/events requests.
Requirements

Proven experience in transportation or logistics management.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of drivers.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
Knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements
Exceptional communication skills for effective coordination with internal teams and external partners
Ability to analyze data for decision-making purposes
Valid Class 2 driver’s license with a clean driving record
This is an active/driving management role that will require the successful candidate to drive as well as manage the other drivers, safety and vehicle maintenance requirements year round.

Pay: $33.00-$38.00 per hour
