Full job description
Nesters Market has an opening for a Cashier (Front End Clerk) for our store located in Banff, AB. This role is Part-Time and reports to the Store Manager.

Clerks are responsible for providing fast, friendly service to customers in our busy grocery store. Must be available to work on evenings and weekends.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Customer Service, cash handling, health & safety, receiving and stocking shelves

· Cash register operation and cash-out procedures

· Provide superior customer service to all guests

· Ensure a clean and sanitary environment

· To perform other duties and tasks assigned or required as consistent with the nature and scope of the position

Skills and Qualifications:

· Previous retail or customer service experience in a grocery setting an asset

· Solid understanding of basic math skills

· Lotto and/or food safe certification an asset

· Work well in a fast-paced environment

· Superb customer service skills with a desire to provide a great shopping experience for every customer

· Willingness and availability to work a variety of shifts, including: Mornings, Afternoons, Evenings & Weekends

· Willingness to cross-train in different departments

· Ability to work in a safe and responsible manner

· Demonstrated high level of communication, interpersonal & conflict resolution skills

· Proven track record as a self-starter; dedicated and reliable

· Physical ability to stand, lift, and handle up to 50 pounds on a regular basis

· Ability to follow established company policies

· Excellent command of the English language both verbal and written
