Banff Hospitality Collective or as we like to call it ‘BHC’, is a multi-concept restaurant and entertainment company with 11 venues and counting. All our venues are unique in their own right but have a few things in common: 1. They are all located in beautiful downtown Banff. 2. Serve amazing food and beverage 3. The Bear Street Tavern is known for ridiculously good pizza, where friends and family enjoy locally crafted beer or bear-sized cocktails. Our signature pizzas, sandwiches, and cast-iron specialties will satisfy any hungry Banff adventurer.


Sous Chef

Directly translating to ‘under the chef’, the Sous Chef reports to the Head Chef and is a monumental part in leading and motivating the kitchen team. They use their exceptional communication and leadership skills to bring the team together, train kitchen staff and liaise with the front of house team. Leading by example, the Sous Chef is willing to jump in wherever needed in the kitchen and plays an important role in the overall preparation, cooking, presentation, and quality of all dishes that leave the kitchen.


What You’ll Do:

If it’s happening in the kitchen, you are a part of it! Planning, executing, elevating - you do it all. Either by yourself or with the Head Chef.
You like systems and processes, so you’ll focus on getting those right for your team
You do what it takes to increase sales and minimize costs without compromising quality

What You have:

Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and while you may be feeling stressed on the inside you remain cool, calm, and collected for the team.
You need to not only be an amazing team player but also have a knack for bringing others together to work towards a common goal.
You don't shy away from working with various types of technology and systems
We understand you want to get outside as much as possible, but you’ll need to have flexibility in your schedule
Proven success in a Sous Chef or Kitchen Supervisor role with some formal training will make you stand out
