Full job description
What will be your daily pursuit?:
This position provides Health and Safety administrative support to the Pursuit Banff Jasper Collection The Health and Safety Administrator reports directly to the BJC Health and Safety Director.
When does this adventure begin?:
This is a full-time, regular position beginning May 2025. Position can be based out of Banff or Jasper.
What will you do in this job?:
Provide Health & Safety administrative support to ensure Safety First.
Coordinate WCB/ Worksafe BC employee claim files in Banff Jasper Collection
Provide admin support for KPA health and Safety digital platform
Administer and update the company's health and safety policies, safe work practices and programs.
Coordinate and schedule health and safety training sessions for staff.
Assist and Develop Health & Safety initiatives within the LOB
Assist in updating all Health & Safety documentation on a yearly basis, reviewing policies and procedures to ensure they are current and up to date.
Communicate safety initiatives, broadcasts and updates to all staff members.
Communicate with Banff Jasper Collections Health and Safety Director to stay informed of any changes to policies or procedures
Assist with travel trade audits and inspections to ensure the workplace is compliant with safety regulations.
Actively promote safety culture through campaigns, safety newsletters, and regular safety updates.
Monitor and report on safety performance metrics.
Maintain up-to-date first aid and CPR certifications for designated employees.
Assist in the development, review, and communication of emergency response plans.
What skills and experience do you need for this job?:
Requires the ability to complete reports that will meet the expectations of the Worker's Compensation Board as well as our insurance providers.
Liaise with workers & managers on WCB/ Worksafe BC claim files and assist with claim entries and modified work.
Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple safety-related tasks and projects simultaneously.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to clearly convey safety procedures, training materials, and incident reports.
Familiarity with health and safety management software (KPA, Limble)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or other software for documentation, reporting, and data analysis.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Training and guidance will be provided on internal reporting systems, but familiarity with computer systems and strong language skills will be needed.
What will your work environment be like?:
5 days on/2 days off
Based in Jasper or Banff however, supporting all of Banff Jasper Collection.
Ad-hoc travel to attraction/hotel/F&B/Transportation sites in Jasper, Banff and Golden, BC
