Position Overview

We require a full-time guest service agent for our Northwinds property in Canmore who will enthusiastically greet customers and cater their needs during their stay. A strong, motivated team is already in place, and we are looking for the same drive and commitment.


Salary: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
Shifts: 8-hours, Full-time/Permanent. 4 days a week with 1 day supporting the Housekeeping team.

Staff accommodation: available from 11th May


Key Responsibilities

Greet customers, listen, and understand requests, respond with appropriate action and provide accurate information such as outlet hours and local attraction.
Complete the registration, check-in, and check-out procedures.
Assist guests with payment transactions and ensure proper methods of payment are taken and processed accurately.
Promptly answer the telephone-using positive, professional fluently in English.
Utilize the company computers and reservation software to input and receive information.
Remain calm and alert, especially during an emergency and/or heavy hotel activity and resolve complications such as location changes or credit issues.
File guest complaints and inquiries; conducting thorough research to develop the most effective solutions and negotiate results.
Assist our housekeeping team, fulfilling guest requests when required.
Maintain a clean “guest ready” working environment.
Other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Assist in keeping the common areas clean and tidy, including housekeeping duties as required.
Assist in customer service in connection with rental amenities.

Responsibilities Skills and Experience

Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers.
Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English; both verbally and written.
Ability to accurately input information using Hotel Property Management Software.
Must be flexible to work various shifts throughout the week.
Must have the mobility to climb stairs throughout the day and be able to lift 40lb.
1 year customer service previous experience is preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
Strong computer and Microsoft Suites skills.
