Full job description
We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Dishwasher / Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen while also assisting with basic food preparation tasks at the start of shifts. The ideal candidate is motivated, works well in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in supporting the overall success of the kitchen team.

No previous experience is required — we welcome individuals who are eager to learn and develop their skills in a professional kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing and kitchen areas
Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
Assist chefs and cooks with food preparation tasks at the beginning of shifts, including:
Washing and cutting vegetables
Portioning ingredients
Preparing basic food items
Help maintain clean and sanitized prep stations and kitchen surfaces
Support kitchen staff during busy service periods by ensuring a steady supply of clean dishes and equipment
Take out garbage and recycling and assist with overall kitchen cleanliness
Restock cleaning supplies and kitchen essentials as needed
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
Skills & Qualifications

Strong work ethic and reliability
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Team-oriented attitude with good communication skills
Attention to cleanliness, organization, and food safety
Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate loads when required
Previous kitchen, dishwashing, or food prep experience is an asset but not required
Willingness to learn and assist wherever needed
