Job Summary

Tooloulou's is a small, busy restaurant in Banff serving breakfast, lunch & dinner. The Servers at our restaurant play an integral role in ensuring our customers have personal & memorable dining experiences. The right person will be passionate about food and service, thoroughly enjoy creating excellent experiences for our customers and thrive in working with our Team environment. The ideal candidate will have a friendly, outgoing disposition, and ensure food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and present menus promptly
Take accurate food and beverage orders using our TOAST POS system
Serve meals and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of customer service
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
Handle cash transactions accurately as you will be required to bring your own float
Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures are followed at all times
Assist in setting up and cleaning tables, ensuring the dining area remains tidy and welcoming
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
Manage multiple tables effectively through excellent time management skills
Address guest inquiries or concerns professionally to promote guest satisfaction
Skills

Experience with POS systems, especially TOAST, is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of food service operations, including food safety and sanitation standards
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests courteously
Proven ability in food handling, serving, and basic food preparation techniques
Effective time management to handle multiple tables during busy hours
Basic math skills for managing your own cash and billing purposes
Familiarity with restaurant operations within the food industry or hospitality sector
Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience
Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and guests effectively
Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus but not required
