Full job description
Monod Sports has been part of Banff since 1949. We're a family-owned and operated outdoor retailer specializing in the gear people need to get outside.

While our store is right in the heart of Banff, our online shop helps us connect with customers across Canada. We're a small team that takes pride in what we do, from helping someone find the right gear to making sure their order shows up at their door.

We're looking for a full-time E-Commerce Operations Associate to join our team and help keep the online side of our business running smoothly.

This is a hands-on role that combines packing and shipping orders, helping customers, solving problems, and keeping things organized behind the scenes.

WHY WORK WITH US?

We're a small, close-knit team of people who genuinely enjoy the outdoors. You'll work with some great people and be part of a locally owned business that's been around for more than 75 years.

As part of the team, you'll also get:

$21/hour starting wage
Consistent 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
Two weeks of paid vacation annually
Health benefits plan available after completing the probationary period
Generous employee discounts on clothing, footwear and outdoor equipment
Access to industry pro deals from many of the brands we carry
Ongoing product training and opportunities to learn directly from outdoor brands
Opportunities to develop new skills and grow within the company
Company events, team outings and opportunities to get outside together
A friendly, active workplace in the heart of downtown Banff
The chance to work with some of the best outdoor products and brands in the industry
WHAT YOU'LL DO

As an E-Commerce Operations Associate, you'll help keep our online store running day to day. From getting orders out the door to helping customers with questions about their purchases, you'll play an important role in making sure our online customers have a great experience shopping with us.

Your responsibilities will include:

Online Orders & Shipping

Picking, packing and shipping online orders accurately and on time
Processing orders and creating shipping labels using Shopify and ShipStation
Checking orders for accuracy, including products, quantities and shipping details
Working with our sales floor and stockroom teams to locate products and resolve inventory issues
Troubleshooting order discrepancies and fulfillment problems as they come up
Keeping our shipping area clean, organized and running efficiently
Online Customer Service

Responding to customer emails and phone inquiries in a friendly and professional manner
Helping customers with questions about orders, products, shipping and deliveries
Processing online returns, exchanges, refunds and order changes
Following up on delayed, lost or damaged shipments and working to resolve issues
Handling order verification and other day-to-day administrative tasks
Making sure our online customers receive the same great service they'd expect walking into our store
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You don't need to have worked in e-commerce before. We can teach you how to use our systems, process orders and handle the day-to-day operations.

What matters most to us is finding someone who's dependable, organized, pays attention to the little things, and takes pride in doing a job well. We're a small team, so we're looking for someone who's comfortable working independently, figuring things out when challenges come up, and pitching in wherever needed.

You'll be a great fit if you:

Are organized, detail-oriented and enjoy keeping things running smoothly
Can manage your time, prioritize tasks and work efficiently
Are dependable, motivated and comfortable taking initiative
Enjoy solving problems and finding solutions when things don't go as planned
Have strong written and verbal communication skills
Are comfortable using computers and learning new software
Can work independently while still being part of a team
Are comfortable being on your feet and handling merchandise throughout the day
Have an interest in outdoor sports, clothing and equipment
Previous experience in e-commerce, shipping, fulfillment or customer service is an asset. Familiarity with Shopify, ShipStation or similar platforms is a bonus, but not required.

More than anything, we're looking for someone with a good attitude, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.

We appreciate everyone who takes the time to apply. Candidates selected for an interview will be contacted directly by our management team.

Pay: $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Benefits:

Casual dress
