A Pizza Maker / Cashier (often listed as a Line Cook and Cashier) blends efficient customer service with food preparation in a fast-paced environment. This hybrid role requires an energetic team player who can easily transition from greeting guests at the front counter to crafting orders in the kitchen. Craft Quality Pizzas: Prepare, stretch, and portion dough, spread sauces, and evenly distribute high-quality toppings following established restaurant recipes and standards. [1, 2, 3]
Bake and Monitor: Load pizzas into commercial ovens, carefully monitoring cooking times and temperatures to ensure perfect crust consistency and quality. [1, 2]
Food Prep: Chop vegetables, prepare meats, mix sauces, and assemble side menu items like wings or garlic bread. [1, 2]
Package Orders: Slice, box, and neatly package pizzas as they exit the oven, ensuring all side items and extras are included. [1, 2, 3]
Cashier & Customer Service Duties

Order Management: Enthusiastically greet customers and accurately take food orders at the front counter, via phone, or through drive-thru windows.
POS Transactions: Efficiently operate the cash register or Point of Sale (POS) system, handling cash, credit/debit transactions, and gift cards while accurately giving change and receipts.
Menu Expertise: Answer customer questions about menu items, accommodate special dietary requests, and upsell current restaurant promotions or combo deals.
Issue Resolution: Resolve customer complaints or order discrepancies with a friendly, professional attitude. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7]
Cleanliness & Food Safety

Maintain Safety Standards: Strictly follow local food health and safety regulations, ensuring proper hygiene, temperature controls, and safe food storage.
Sanitize Workstations: Keep kitchen surfaces, cooking utensils, the box hutch, and front counter registers completely clean and sanitized throughout the shift.
Restock Inventory: Rotate ingredients using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) methods, alert management of low stock, and restock front-of-house items like boxes, napkins, and beverage coolersJob Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: Prior experience as a cashier or kitchen hand is highly valued; some establishments explicitly look for previous pizza-stretching or commercial kitchen experience.

Physical Stamina: Capacity to stand for long periods, lift heavy bags of flour or toppings, and work safely around hot commercial ovens.
